In 1993, Don Hewitt of Hewitt Tubular Products, Inc. formed Action Powder
Coating. Created as a sister company to HTP, its purpose was to provide high quality and
timely powder coating for their own products, a service that was not available at the time
in San Diego. In 1995, Action Powder Coating began seeking new customers who were looking
for the same level of service and quality furnished to HTP. By mid-year, the company
expanded to accommodate the increased workload and volume.
We have concentrated our efforts on building
strong working relationships with a cross-section of customers compatible with
Action’s mission. For reference, a partial list of our current customers will be
given upon request. All of our customers demand high quality powder coating and preferred
service which only Action Powder Coating LLC has been able to provide on a continual
basis.
We recently installed our third (and largest)
system which dramatically increases our capabilities and ensures that our customers
continue to receive our outstanding service. In addition to the new system, Action has the
essential trucking capacity to provide our customers with pick-up and delivery of
